About the role
We are seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join our firm in an in-house national role, on a 18-month fixed term contract. As an integral team member of the General Counsel team, you will be providing legal support to our Senior Executive team and our wider firm on a range of legal and regulatory issues. This is an exciting opportunity with the role having the visibility and scope to influence the commercial decision making in the firm on a daily basis.
This is a role with guaranteed variety, from the provision of accurate and commercially focussed legal advice as required across various areas of law, including in relation to innovation projects, privacy and data protection, through to drafting and reviewing a wide variety of commercial contracts across the business, as well as acquisitions and litigation support.
The experience we are looking for
Minimum 8 years’ post admission experience within general commercial/contracts practice
Experience in drafting and negotiating corporate/commercial agreements
Experience providing strategic legal advice in relation to AI use in professional services, innovation, privacy matters, the interpretation of contracts, regulatory compliance, and disputes
Confidence to provide advice at the Executive Level
Proven ability to influence and improve capabilities in professional standards
Exceptional time management skills and highly organised approach to workload management
