Job Description
Summary: Mativ is a global leader in specialty materials headquartered in Alpharetta, Georgia. They are currently searching for an Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) co-op to support the corporate EHS leadership team in deployment of key initiatives at their Minneapolis Plant manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and/or contribute to defined projects focused on improved EHS data collection, management, communication, from facility to enterprise – level
- Assist in the development and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, training and programs such as; MNOSHA, CWA, RCRA, SPCC, and ESG
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to promote a culture of safety and environmental stewardship
- Develop working knowledge of federal, state and local environmental, health & safety regulations
- Interact with site EHS leaders and corporate staff on various projects and initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- Lead and/or contribute to defined projects focused on improved EHS data collection, management, communication, from facility to enterprise – level

- A team player with exceptional organizational and technical skills
- Proven record of demonstrating problem-solving and decision making

- Demonstrated project management skills and ability to balance multiple assignments at once
- Desire to make a strong contribution in a continuous learning environment, while enhancing their readiness for a full-time career
Preferred Qualifications:
- Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science or a related discipline
- Minimum GPA-3.0
- Prior Internship or work experience in a safety related position
