Overview
We are looking for a Picking Lead to support our growing team! You’ll be at the heart of our commitment to accuracy and quality, conducting inspections and audits, and ensuring seamless communication between DC Leadership and Picking Associates. As a key player in maintaining our high standards, you’ll also identify opportunities for process improvements and work closely with management to drive innovative changes. Responsibilities
• Oversee the daily activities of Picking Associates during assigned shifts.• Train and guide Picking Associates and new team members on system operation, safety protocols, and best practices.• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all Picking operations through regular inspections and audits.• Facilitate communication between warehouse management, supervision, and Picking Associates, conveying information, instructions, and updates.• Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the Picking department and collaborate with management to implement changes.
Qualifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members.• Comprehensive understanding of all warehouse operations.
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates regarding their strengths and areas for improvement within the company.• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.• Proficiency with warehouse management software and basic computer skills.• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods.• Ability to lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.• Capability to handle high temperatures in the distribution center during the summer months (May through October).• Comfortable working in areas with potentially loud noise levels.
