In this role, you'll oversee the cutting-edge AutoStore system, supervising and inspiring AutoStore associates to excel in system operations, safety protocols, and best practices. You'll uphold exceptional standards through regular inspections and audits, act as a crucial communication bridge between DC Leadership and operators, and champion safety regulations to ensure a secure workplace. Always seeking process improvements, you'll collaborate with management to implement innovative solutions that boost efficiency and performance. Responsibilities
• Directly oversee the day-to-day activities of AutoStore operators and warehouse associates during assigned shifts• Provide training and guidance to AutoStore operators and new team members on system operation, safety protocols, and best practices• Maintain high standards of accuracy and quality in all AutoStore operations by conducting regular inspections and audits to identify and address any discrepancies or errors• Serve as a point of contact for communication between warehouse management and AutoStore operators, relaying information, instructions, and updates as necessary• Enforce safety regulations and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all team members, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety guidelines• Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the AutoStore operation, and work collaboratively with management to implement changes
Qualifications
• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and coach team members• Comprehensive understanding of all warehouse operations
• Ability to communicate effectively with associates regarding their strengths and areas for improvement within the company• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail• Proficiency with warehouse management software and basic computer skills• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods• Ability to lift, move, carry, push, or pull up to 75 pounds• Capability to handle high temperatures in the distribution center during the summer months (May through October)• Comfortable working in areas with potentially loud noise levels
