Job Description
JOB SUMMARY
The Intern is an enthusiastic, self-motivated and self-disciplined individual who will gain valuable practical exposure on different aspects of the functional area to which he/she is assigned. He/she will be responsible for performing various administrative tasks and supporting daily activities, under the supervision of an experienced employee.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Fulfills administrative duties specific to the functional area.
- Assists in preparing and analysing reports, as needed.
- Strictly adheres to MGPTL’s & MGPMTL’s QHSSE and Process Safety Management policies and procedures.
- Ensures that the Company’s Quality Health Safety Security and Environment Management System is maintained in the relevant activities.
- Is knowledgeable of the Company's Customer Service Philosophy in order to demonstrate the behaviours and expectations outlined in such.
- Understands the Company’s business, including the brand, markets and other aspects of its operation.
- Incorporates academic knowledge into practical work assignments.
- Accepts designated, business-focused assignments to research, execute and present approach during the internship close-out session.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
CRITERIA, QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Children and immediate relatives (sibling / nephew / niece) of MGPTL and MGPMTL employees.
- Applicants must be 18 – 24 years old at the start of the Programme.
- Must be available for the entire Programme duration, 2-3 months for the period Jun 15 - August 21, 2026
- Based on existing business needs, the functional areas being considered for Intern placement are HSSE, Quality, Finance, Commercial, IT, and Mechanical/Process/E&I Engineering
- Must have a minimum of 5 CSEC passes, including Maths and English.
- Enrolled in or completed Undergraduate, Diploma, Craft Certificate or CAPE Level Programmes, with a special focus or interest in the above functional areas.
- 0 - 1 year prior work experience.
