Location: Orlando, FL

ACCOUNTING RESPONSIBLITIES
- Prepare month-end closings, adjustments, and allowances, and review service center month-end closing packages for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting and procedural standards.
- Assist with preparing sales and cash journals from month-end reports for the P&L statement.
- Perform timely reconciliations of Deferred Pretreats and Sentricon accounts.
- Provide ad hoc reporting and special analyses as requested by management.
- Ensure transactions are accurately recorded, properly documented and supported, compliant with applicable policies and procedures, and classified in accordance with accepted accounting standards.
- Apply standard accounting practices to record and track fixed asset transactions, including costs for newly acquired tangible and intangible assets, existing asset tracking, depreciation, and asset dispositions.
- Reconcile reports and financial data, identify discrepancies, and complete timely account reconciliations to ensure transactions are properly supported, compliant with applicable policies and procedures, and classified and recorded in accordance with accepted accounting standards.
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND SKILLS REQUIRED
The ideal candidate is organized, detail-oriented, and effective in a fast-paced environment. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, verbal, and written communication skills, as well as the ability to respond promptly to senior management requests.
Additional requirements include:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience in financial reporting.
- Experience with journal entries and account reconciliations.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel, with the ability to operate general office equipment.
- Background checks completed on all candidates considered for hire.
Strong mathematical skills, excellent attention to detail, effective oral and written communication skills, and a professional, organized, customer-focused demeanor.
