Hours: 7am - 3:30 pm
Monday - Friday
(Shift may vary based on business needs)
Job Purpose:
This position utilizes condition-monitoring technologies such as Vibration Analysis, Infrared Thermography, Motor Circuit Analysis and Ultrasonic Analysis to predict impending failures and proactively repair equipment prior to failure in the most cost-effective manner. In addition to the predictive technologies, statistical process control techniques and equipment performance monitoring are adapted to monitor equipment. The individual will use processes such as Root Cause, Failure Modes and Effects Analysis, and other Reliability-Centered Maintenance techniques to diagnose and prevent recurring failures.

Minimum Requirements:
- Must meet time in role (12+ months)
- Must have approval from line manager to apply
- Must currently be in good standing
- High school diploma or GED
- 1 + years of experience as a maintenance technician in a manufacturing environment or A technical background including experience as part of a Maintenance department with Masterfoods or an external business is required.
- Basic Computer skills required (e.g., Microsoft Office – Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
- Capable of training Maintenance Technicians on assigned equipment
- Possess an advanced understanding of AC/DC Electrical (up to 480VAC and 12KV DC), reading electrical schematics/drawings.
- Some travel is expected.
Physical Requirements:
- Frequent lifting/carrying pushing (10-50 lbs) and pushing/pulling (50-300 lbs)
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, handling and gripping
- Ability to work at elevated heights, climb stairs, leaning over equipment and work in confined spaces
- Ability to stand and/or work on feet for extended periods (minimum eight hours in one shift).
- Ability to read, write and speak English
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate or Technical degree
- Technical/ Trade Certification in: Industrial electrical systems.
- Proficiency with computers including: word processing, databases, spreadsheets, and PdM analysis/ trending software.
- Demonstrated knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic & mechanical schematics/drawings
- Work in confined spaces, as required, and adhere to regulations and policies
- Perform “Hot Work” as necessary to include grinding; trained as required
- Successfully complete basic First Aid and CPR
- Understand TPM Theory and Concepts
- Understand/adhere to Lock Out Tag Out (LOTO), Working From Heights and all other plant Safety/Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) requirements
- Ability to work in a collaborative environment
- Considered to be SME in SAP application.
What will be your Key Responsibilities?
- Use PdM technologies to determine baselines and trend deviations in a proactive manner to eliminate reactive equipment failures.
- Schedule and run routes for data acquisition. Maintain on-line monitoring equipment and capture data for analysis. Be responsible for schedule compliance and route adherence.
- Analyze data using proper techniques to eliminate nuisance alarms and ensure timely equipment repair.
- Work with the Maintenance Engineering group to perform Root Cause Analysis and equipment autopsies in the event of unplanned failures.
- Interface with Engineering to ensure new installations are installed in a manner designed to maximize equipment longevity.
- Performs acceptance tests for new equipment installations using appropriate Predictive technologies.
- Assumes responsibility for ensuring that the right technologies are being applied to the right assets at the right frequencies.
- Provide quantitative reporting, metrics and presentations with respect to return on program investment. Document case studies to facilitate the program goals.
- Assist with conducting criticality analysis, PM optimization, and asset care matrices.
- Ensures that work area is clean, secure, and well maintained
- Develops expertise in two of the following Predictive Maintenance Technologies
- Vibration Analysis proficiency equal to a Level II certification in accordance with ISO 18436.2
- Vibration Analysis knowledge and skills to include:
- Basic vibration
- Data acquisition
- Data processing
- Fault analysis
- Condition evaluation
- Machine testing
- Knowledge in spectral, time waveform and phase analysis.
- Infrared Thermography proficiency equal to the American Society for Non-destructive Testing (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A Level II Thermography certification
- Infrared Thermography knowledge and skills to include:
- Thermography Fundamentals
- Temperature Measurement Error Sources and Corrections
- Traceable Temperature Limits
- Electrical Inspection
- Mechanical Inspection
- Building Inspection
- Airborne Ultrasonic proficiency equal to the American Society for Non-destructive Testing (ASNT) SNT-TC-1A Level II certification.
- Airborne ultrasound capabilities to include:
- Leak detection
- Electrical inspection
- Mechanical Inspection
- Motor Circuit Analysis
- Off-Line testing
- On-line testing
