Summary: Mark43 is a company dedicated to empowering communities and governments with advanced technologies to enhance safety and quality of life. They are looking for a Mobile Engineering Intern to join their Engineering team, focusing on building mobile applications for first responders while gaining hands-on experience in modern Android development practices.
Responsibilities:
- Built new Android features using Kotlin and modern Android frameworks
- Collaborated with product managers and designers to deliver intuitive, reliable mobile experiences
- Debugged and improved existing code to enhance performance and stability
- Wrote and maintained unit tests to ensure high-quality releases
- Contributed to discussions around mobile architecture and best practices
- Gained exposure to how mobile applications integrate with a larger backend system
Required Qualifications:
- Experience developing Android applications using Kotlin
- A personal, academic, or internship project that demonstrates mobile development skills
- Familiarity with core internet technologies such as REST, JSON, and HTTP
- Basic understanding of mobile architecture and application lifecycle concepts
- A strong foundation in computer science fundamentals such as data structures and algorithms
