Commercial Real Estate Analyst at Marcus & Millichap in Dallas, TX

Summary: Marcus & Millichap Capital Corporation is seeking an Analyst, Capital Markets, to support their commercial real estate debt and equity origination teams. The role involves financial modeling, market and sponsor due diligence, and assisting with the creation of offering memoranda and other critical tasks. Responsibilities: - Support senior team members in the execution of capital markets assignments, including debt placements, and select equity raises - Assist in the development of pro-forma financials and cash flow models - Conduct market research and help prepare competitive analyses, supply/demand studies and demographic reports - Review and input property rent rolls, leases, and operating statements - Research local real estate markets to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks - Assist in the preparation of responses to lender and equity investor inquiries - Request and coordinate transaction documentation - Follow up with clients, prospective buyers and investors on issues related to transaction closings Required Qualifications: - 1 to 3 years commercial real estate experience in capital advisory, banking or valuation - Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or commercial real estate required - Superior financial modeling skills utilizing Excel and Argus - High attention to detail in analytical assessments and valuations - Ability to manage multiple tasks accurately and productively during time-sensitive situations - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Ability to work independently with a team-player attitude - Flexible attitude with the ability to handle change effectively - Availability for North American Travel Preferred Qualifications: - Proficiency with CoStar and other data sources a plus - Experience with PowerPoint and other presentation software Required Skills: Financial modeling, Commercial real estate experience, Excel proficiency Important Skills: Argus proficiency, CoStar proficiency Nice-to-Have Skills: PowerPoint proficiency, Analytical skills, Team player attitude Benefits: Eligible for a discretionary performance‑based bonus
