Company Profile:

Our client is an international non-profit organization focused on restoring marine ecosystems while creating sustainable economic opportunities for coastal communities. Established a decade ago, the organization works in partnership with governments and local communities to manage several large marine protected areas across Southeast Asia and East Africa.

Alongside its conservation work, the organization operates a portfolio of reef-positive businesses across aquaculture, sustainable seafood, and ecotourism. Each business is strategically paired with a marine protected area, with the goal of generating sustainable commercial revenue that progressively helps finance long-term conservation efforts. The organization currently manages millions of hectares of marine areas and is continuing to expand its impact through a combination of conservation, community development, and commercially sustainable enterprises.

They are now looking for a Quality Control & Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) professional to oversee quality assurance, quality control, and workplace safety across its hatchery, grow-out, and processing operations. The role will focus on ensuring product quality and traceability, maintaining hygiene and biosecurity standards, promoting workplace safety, and supporting environmental impact control in line with the organization’s operational and sustainability goals.

This is a great opportunity to join a purpose-driven organization where your expertise in quality management and occupational safety can make a meaningful difference in sustainable aquaculture and food production. You’ll have the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams, strengthen quality and safety practices across different operational sites, and contribute to building a culture of continuous improvement, compliance, and environmental responsibility. With hands-on involvement across hatchery, grow-out, and processing operations, this role is ideal for a quality and OSH professional looking to take on a meaningful position with operational ownership, diverse challenges, and long-term growth potential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Environment

•Control, measure, and reduce the environmental impact of operations (management of hatchery wastewater discharge, monitoring of the ecosystem around sea grow-out pens)

•Ensure sustainable, optimized management of water resources and lead the sorting and recovery policy for processing workshop waste

Safety

•Assess specific occupational risks (aquatic environment, diving activities, handling of chemical products, use of cutting/drying machinery)

•Design and lead the accident prevention policy, ensure effective use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and develop a "Zero Accident" culture across teams

Hygiene

•Define, deploy, and enforce the strictest hygiene standards and biosecurity protocols in the hatchery and farming operations

•Design, validate, and audit the sanitary control plan (PMS) and cleaning/disinfection plans (HACCP method) within the processing workshop
