Assistant/Associate Professor of Pharmaceutical and Graduate Life Sciences (Pharmacy Administration)

Make a Difference. Shape Future Pharmacists. Find More Meaning in Your Work.

At Manchester University, we're looking for a faculty member who wants to do more than build a career. We're looking for someone who wants to help shape the next generation of pharmacy professionals.

Whether you're currently in higher education or considering a transition from industry, this is an opportunity to bring your expertise into a collaborative academic environment where your work has a direct and lasting impact on students, the profession, and the future of healthcare.

Unlike large institutions, Manchester offers a close-knit culture where faculty know their students, collaborate across disciplines, and have the opportunity to influence both the curriculum and the student experience. Here, you won't be one of hundreds of faculty members. You'll be a valued colleague and mentor whose work truly matters.

Why Consider Manchester?

• Work with engaged students and help prepare future pharmacists for success.
• Join a collaborative faculty culture where relationships matter.
• Enjoy flexible scheduling within a traditional faculty role.
• Contribute to teaching, scholarship, and service in a supportive environment.
• Pursue meaningful research and professional interests.
• Benefit from more than four weeks of paid time off and university holidays each year.
• Access valuable tuition benefits for eligible family members.
• Experience the satisfaction of mission-driven work that improves lives through education.

What You'll Do

As an Assistant or Associate Professor in Pharmaceutical and Graduate Life Sciences, you'll teach and mentor pharmacy students while contributing to scholarship and service within the School of Pharmacy. Teaching responsibilities include pharmacy social and administrative sciences courses, with opportunities to contribute to curriculum development, innovative instruction, and student success initiatives.

Candidates with interests in pharmacy administration, health outcomes research, and the teacher-scholar model are especially encouraged to apply.

What We're Looking For

Qualified candidates will possess credentials supporting appointment at the Assistant or Associate Professor rank, including a Ph.D. or terminal degree in pharmaceutical sciences or a closely related field with a focus on social and administrative sciences.

We welcome applications from individuals with academic experience as well as professionals who have built successful careers in industry and are ready for a new chapter focused on education, mentorship, and meaningful impact.
