Summary: Man Group is a global alternative investment management firm focused on delivering outperformance for sophisticated clients. The Research Analyst will develop and enhance quantitative investment strategies in financial markets, support equity and fixed income strategies, and conduct research on implementation aspects of investment strategies. Responsibilities: - Develop and improve quantitative investment strategies in financial markets within the Strategic Alpha Research team (SAR) - Support all equity and fixed income strategies from alpha generation through to trade execution and implementation - Work closely with other team members to create new and support existing strategies by identifying new investment ideas or innovative data sources - Gather and refine complex data for modeling - Code and perform statistical analysis to build and refine models - Interpret, present, and implement the results - Conduct research on various implementation aspects of investment strategies such as trading cost models, risk models, optimization, and portfolio construction Required Qualifications: - Passion in investment research with strong intuition and the ability to think-out-of-the-box - Strong record of original research and demonstrated problem solving ability - Excellent quantitative skills from training in econometrics or statistics, and extensive experience in utilizing those skills in empirical research - Strong programming skills analyzing large and complex data with statistical tools (Python preferred) - Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly Preferred Qualifications: - Prior experience in the investment field, especially in credit markets Required Skills: Quantitative research, Econometrics, Statistics, Python programming, Data analysis, Statistical modeling, Investment research, Credit markets, Trading cost models, Risk models, Portfolio construction, Optimization Benefits: Competitive holiday entitlements, Pension/401k, Life and long-term disability coverage, Group sick pay, Enhanced parental leave, Long-service leave, Private medical coverage, Discounted gym membership options, Pet insurance
