Job Description
Summary: Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is seeking an IT Security Intern to support the organization’s security program through hands-on work in various areas of cybersecurity. The intern will gain foundational learning and contribute to meaningful projects over an 11-week structured program.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in onboarding, security policy review, and tool access setup
- Learn cybersecurity fundamentals including CVEs, CVSS, and threat intelligence
- Support vulnerability management tasks with Qualys, CrowdStrike, and Armis
- Assist with asset inventory validation and CMDB cleanup
- Contribute to updating policies, standards, and procedures
- Perform basic log reviews (Entra ID, Okta, Splunk) and shadow investigations
- Support KPI dashboard updates and reporting automation
- Conduct CVE research and threat monitoring
- Complete a capstone project and deliver final presentation
Required Qualifications:
- Pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or related field
- Strong interest in cybersecurity and emerging threats
- Strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with IT systems or security tools a plus
