Intern - Engineering Software at Magna International in Southfield, MI

Summary: Magna International is a leading supplier in the automotive industry, focused on developing innovative electronic systems. As an Engineering Software Intern, you will work closely with the Engineering Systems Manager to develop and improve manufacturing systems, including creating and modifying test cases and debugging issues. Responsibilities: - Develop building blocks for ADAS features/algorithms - Integrate new or modified Simulink models into the MATLAB and/or CarMaker test environment - Create or modify test cases based on the requirements to cover the new or modified functionalities - Debug issues found and root cause them - Report and document issues; Propose correction to issue reported - Perform systems testing of products on bench and in vehicles making sure the product functions and performs as the customer expects per requirements Required Qualifications: - Strong analytical and organizational skills with attention to detail - Ability to work effectively in a team environment and willingness to learn - Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Preferred Qualifications: - Pursuing a Bachelor's/master's degree in engineering or related field - Punctual and efficient - Discipline to accomplish work remotely - Continuous Improvement mindset - Self-confidence to contribute fresh ideas - Self-awareness to ask for help when needed - Desire to learn and make an impact - Must be self-motivated and able to work independently Required Skills: Simulink, MATLAB, CarMaker, Systems Testing, Debugging, Microsoft Office Suite, Analytical Skills
