Job Description
Summary: Macy's is a storied retail company that has been a part of American culture for over 160 years. The Retail Receiving Support Associate will play a vital role in supporting store operations by maintaining inventory accuracy and ensuring a smooth customer experience through various tasks including receiving merchandise and assisting customers with curbside pickups.
Responsibilities:
- Begin each day energized and ready to make an impact
- Wear their name badge with pride and greet teammates with a warm hello
- Review their goals, learn about new products and promotions, and prepare the store for success
- Focus on the customer - from greeting customers warmly to actively listening and resolving issues
- Build trust through personal, helpful interactions - on the floor, during curbside pickups, or through timely and accurate order fulfillment
- Maintain a shoppable space by recovering the floor and fitting rooms, updating signs and pricing, restocking merchandise, and supporting any needed merchandise moves
- Wrap up their day by organizing the stockroom, completing orders, and setting the team up for the next day’s success
- Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration so we can better serve our customers and communities
- Strive to improve every day, take pride in our work, achieve sales goals and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results
Required Qualifications:
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
- Meeting daily sales goal challenges
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
- This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30lbs., stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
