Job Description
Summary: Macy’s is a storied retail company that has been a part of American culture for over 160 years. As an At Your Service Center Associate, you will be responsible for delivering a seamless shopping experience by assisting customers with various services, including merchandise returns and order pickups, while maintaining the At Your Service area. This role requires strong multitasking abilities and a customer-first mindset in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support all At Your Service activities, including Buy Online Pickup In Store (BOPS), merchandise returns, order pickups, and other assigned tasks
- Help keep the shopping space clean, organized, and inviting
- Review sales goals, learn about new arrivals and top-selling items, and stay up to date on trends and promotions
- Welcome customers with genuine hospitality, making eye contact, and starting friendly, personal conversations
- Assist customers in all aspects of total store fulfillment, including By Online and Pick Up in Store
- Be proficient in all systems needed to complete transactions
- Ensure the collection area is organized so the customer pick-up experience is friction-free
- Maintain a shoppable space by recovering merchandise and keeping the pickup and return areas clean
- Share our Loyalty program benefits, making sure customers have all they need, and ending with a sincere thank-you
- Support one another with honesty, care, and collaboration to better serve our customers and communities
- Take pride in our work, achieve sales goals and learn from each other to deliver individual and store results
Required Qualifications:
- Flexible availability, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays with regular, dependable attendance and punctuality
- Must be able to understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Must be able to read and understand employment policies and safety rules/procedures in English
- Makes prompt, sound decisions in real time to effectively address customer needs and resolve issues
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
- Meeting daily sales goal challenges
- Responsible for acquiring new customers by opening credit accounts and sharing loyalty benefits
- Enjoy meeting people, learning about them, and sharing information
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture and can adapt to changing priorities; you can work on your own but are great with team dynamics
- You can handle electronic devices with no problem
- This position requires talking, lifting, constant moving, standing, and reaching with arms and hands
- Standing for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 25lbs, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders, reaching, including above eye level
- Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment
- Frequent use of computers and other technology, necessary to perform job functions, including handheld equipment, cash register and ability to process register transactions
