Design Engineer at Machwel Engineering Services in Mumbai(Ambernath)

Role & responsibilities
• Design sheet metal parts, assemblies, cabinets, brackets, panels, and enclosures using CAD software.
• Create 3D models, manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
• Apply sheet metal design principles including bend allowance, bend deduction, K-factor, reliefs, hems, and tolerances.
• Coordinate with production, fabrication, and quality teams to ensure manufacturability.
• Develop flat patterns and nesting data for manufacturing.
• Review customer specifications and convert them into detailed engineering designs.
• Support prototype development and resolve manufacturing-related design issues.
• Optimize designs for cost, weight, strength, and ease of fabrication.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.

Preferred candidate profile

Preferred Skills
• Experience in enclosure, kiosk, or Office Furniture Design
• Knowledge of sheet metal material selection (CRCA, SS, Aluminium, GI, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
