Systems Engineer at M2 Solutions in Herndon, VA

M2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer in Herndon, VA Required: TS/SCI with Polygraph TASKS • Lead end-to-end system lifecycle management, including analysis, design, development, deployment, and operational support for innovative hardware, software, and network systems. • Maintain a strong awareness of technical trends, ongoing IT projects, and business unit requirements, ensuring all developed systems comply with enterprise technical architecture. • Apply the Sponsor’s project management model for development efforts, help teams prepare for project control gates, and keep senior management apprised of project or program status. • Provide immediate technical response to restore or maintain system functionality and availability. • Possess core technical expertise in Local Area Network (LAN) operations, server building, managing Certificate Authorities, and integrating customer systems into the enterprise. REQUIRED SKILLS • Strong background in Microsoft Systems Engineering and providing support to those systems. • Strong recent experience in Windows platform operating systems. • Expertise in Cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP, OpenStack). • In-depth knowledge of Linux distributions, including configuration, management and troubleshooting. • Strong scripting skills in languages like Bash, Python, and Ansible for automating tasks and workflows. • Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes. • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools like Tereform and Cloudformation. • Strong knowledge of Windows Active Directory suite to include (DNS, DFS, ADCS, GPOs).
