Audio Visual Supervisor at Lynnwood… · Lynnwood

Who We Are

The Lynnwood Event Center, operated by The District, is where our community comes together. From conventions and conferences to celebrations and community gatherings, we create spaces where people connect, celebrate, learn, and make lasting memories.

As Lynnwood's Public Facilities District (PFD), we're committed to creating exceptional experiences that strengthen our community and support local economic growth. Every event hosted at the Lynnwood Event Center helps build a more vibrant city while creating opportunities for residents, businesses, and visitors alike.

Why Work For Us

At The District, your work has purpose, and every member of our team plays a role in creating exceptional experiences. You'll join a team that values Transform, Trust, Thoughtfulness, and Teamwork. We encourage new ideas, take pride in doing things well, support one another, and aren't afraid to jump in wherever we're needed. For our Audio Visual Supervisor, that means bringing events to life behind the scenes while also being a visible, dependable partner to clients, coworkers, and the technicians you lead.

More Than a Job

This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being where the action is.

One day you may be operating sound and video for a corporate conference. The next, you may be preparing microphones for a community event, troubleshooting equipment during a live program, directing part-time AV technicians, or helping the operations team complete a room flip for the next event. While you'll take the lead on AV services, you'll also be an active member of our event operations team. This position is expected to spend approximately two-thirds of its time supporting AV and one-third supporting general event setup, depending on the event calendar.

If you enjoy live events, know your way around AV equipment, stay calm when something doesn't go according to plan, and aren't afraid to roll up your sleeves and help the team, this may be the role for you.

• Assist with room turns, multi-event days, and other event operations needs as part of the regular responsibilities of the position.
• Safely operate ladders, scissor lifts, carts, hand tools, and other venue equipment.
• Follow and reinforce venue safety procedures, including ladder, lift, cabling, and rigging safety.

• The ability to read and interpret event orders and technical riders.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to remain composed when technical issues arise during an event.

• Availability to work a variable event-driven schedule that regularly includes days, evenings, weekends, holidays, and occasional overnight hours.

The following qualifications will help you stand out:

• Experience working in a convention center, hotel, theater, performing arts venue, or full-service event facility.
