Hotel General Manager – Syria

We are seeking an experienced Hotel General Manager to lead the operations and development of a 4-star hotel in Syria.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on hospitality professional with strong experience in hotel operations, team leadership, revenue management, F&B, events, and guest experience.

The General Manager will be responsible for the overall performance of the hotel, including operational setup, recruitment and training, financial performance, service standards, sales and marketing, and day-to-day management.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead the hotel’s pre-opening/reopening and ongoing operations.

* Recruit, build, train and manage the hotel team.

* Establish SOPs and international hospitality service standards.

* Manage Rooms, Front Office, Housekeeping, F&B, Events, Maintenance and other hotel departments.

* Prepare and manage annual budgets, operating costs and P&L.

* Develop strategies to increase occupancy, ADR and overall hotel revenue.

* Develop F&B, weddings, events and other revenue-generating activities.

* Manage online distribution, OTAs, reservations and hotel systems.

* Build relationships with corporate clients, travel agencies, tour operators and other partners.

* Ensure high standards of guest satisfaction, quality, safety and property maintenance.

* Report directly to ownership/group management with clear operational and financial KPIs.

Requirements

* Minimum 7–10 years of hospitality experience, including senior hotel management experience.

* Previous experience as General Manager, Hotel Manager, Operations Manager or equivalent senior role.

* Strong understanding of hotel P&L, budgeting and revenue management.

* Proven experience managing hotel operations and multidisciplinary teams.

* Strong F&B and events/weddings experience is highly preferred.

* Pre-opening, reopening or hotel repositioning experience is a strong advantage.

* Experience with PMS, OTAs and modern hotel operating systems.

* Strong leadership, problem-solving and communication skills.

* Arabic and English preferred.

* Experience in Syria, GCC or the wider Middle East is an advantage.

* Ability to relocate and be based in Syria.
