Electronics Technician Work Study - Austin, TX
Overview
Lutron Electronics Co., Inc has an immediate opening for a highly motivated electronics technician work study at our location in Austin, TX. A work study position at Lutron provides hands-on experience appropriate to your educational background while you gain exposure to a professional work environment. Work studies are integrated directly into engineering teams and assigned meaningful real-world assignments. You may aid in the development and production of the next generation of integrated lighting control solutions through initial requirements, testing and support of customer systems. In this role, you may be working with technologies such as In this role, you can expect to work with technologies including, RF wireless communications, embedded systems, low-voltage electronics, power electronics, analog and digital circuitry, sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT-connected devices. You will receive personal mentoring and on the job training. Responsibilities
- Extensive design verification testing of analog and digital circuits
- Prototyping hardware and software
- Troubleshooting software, hardware, and network issues
- Working with advanced laboratory test equipment to verify new products
- Assisting in transitioning designs from engineering into manufacturing
- Directly supporting end customers
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an Associate or Bachelor degree technology program such as electronics technology, electrical engineering technology, computer engineering technology or related technical degree
- Current minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in enrolled program and all previous degrees earned
- Willing and available to work on-site 5 days per week
- Authorized to work in the U.S. and will not require Lutron to sponsor you for any work visa, such as an H-1B, either immediately or at any time in the future. Lutron does not offer work visa sponsorship for this position.
