Designers, Design Coordinators, and… at LRS Architects · Portland

Description

Design. People. Trust

At LRS Architects, our Civic Studio is growing, and we're looking for talented professionals at multiple career levels—from Designers to Design Coordinators to Design Leads—to help shape the civic spaces that strengthen our communities.

You'll help create public-facing environments that enhance the lives of the people who live, work, and gather in them. Working alongside architects, interior designers, consultants, and project leaders, you'll contribute to projects ranging from fairgrounds and event centers to county offices, justice facilities, public safety buildings, and other civic environments that make a lasting impact.

Whether you're looking to build your technical expertise, coordinate increasingly complex projects, or lead project teams, you'll find opportunities to grow within a collaborative, people-first firm that values mentorship, design excellence, and professional development.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

Depending on your experience and career level, you'll have opportunities to:

• Contribute to the planning, design, and technical development of civic and public-sector projects.
• Produce and coordinate BIM models, construction documents, details, schedules, and project deliverables.
• Collaborate with project managers, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver thoughtful, high-quality design solutions.
• Coordinate technical information across architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and civil disciplines.
• Support project delivery from programming and schematic design through construction administration.
• Participate in client meetings, consultant coordination, and presentations as your experience grows.
• Apply firm BIM standards, quality assurance processes, and project delivery best practices.
• Mentor junior staff and help guide project teams (Design Lead candidates).
• Continue developing your technical, leadership, and professional skills through mentorship and hands-on project experience.

WHAT WE OFFER:

We believe that people do their best work when they feel valued, supported, and inspired. At LRS, you'll find:

• Hybrid flexibility: Work where you thrive - with a mix of remote and in-office options
• Competitive compensation with annual reviews and advancement opportunities
• Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, and FSA plans
• 401(k) with employer match to support your financial future
