Summary: Louisiana Health Service & Indemnity Company, also known as Blue Cross, is seeking a Configuration Engineer Intern for the Summer and Fall of 2026. The role involves documenting business requirements, executing data queries, and providing support for production systems in a collaborative technical environment. Responsibilities: - Document business requirements and configuration designs - Execute queries to support metrics, reporting, and analysis - Provide production and triage support to help resolve system issues - Assist with ongoing configuration and system support initiatives Required Qualifications: - Senior-level undergraduate student - Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, ISDS, or a related technical field - Minimum: 2.5 cumulative GPA - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to document and communicate technical information clearly - Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint - Minimum of 20 hours per week during Spring & Fall semesters - 30–35 hours per week during Summer - Must be within reasonable commuting distance of one of the specified Louisiana office locations Preferred Qualifications: - Preferred: 3.0+ GPA - Coursework or experience in Database relationships - Coursework or experience in Data analytics - SQL knowledge preferred - Self-motivated and comfortable learning new systems - Adaptable in a changing technical environment - Team-oriented with a collaborative mindset - Able to think analytically and present ideas professionally Required Skills: SQL Important Skills: Database relationships, Data analytics Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills, Microsoft Office, Problem-solving skills, Technical communication Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer
