We are looking for a Data Governance Manager – Finance (Enterprise Structure Master Data) to design, govern, and optimize core financial enterprise structure data across Lonza. This role plays a critical part in ensuring data consistency, completeness, accuracy, and integrity across end‑to‑end business processes. Acting as a global point of responsibility for finance structure governance, you will define standards, ownership, and lifecycle rules for critical enterprise data elements such as Company Codes, Profit Centers, Controlling Areas, and related hierarchies. You will work across Finance, Controlling, Tax, Treasury, IT, and business platforms to enable integrated, high‑quality data that supports decision‑making and enterprise value creation. What you’ll get A strategic global role within Lonza’s Data Governance and Finance organization Opportunity to shape enterprise data frameworks and governance models Exposure to global stakeholders across Finance, IT, and business functions A collaborative, inclusive, and ethical workplace culture Competitive compensation and benefits aligned with role and experience Opportunities to contribute to global transformation and data strategy initiatives What you’ll do Define, implement, and continuously evolve governance frameworks, standards, and processes for enterprise structure master data in Finance Design and manage lifecycle processes for critical organizational data objects, including creation, change, and deactivation of enterprise structures Analyze the impact of data changes across upstream and downstream systems and guide stakeholders to informed decisions Lead impact assessments for new enterprise structure requests and coordinate implementation with IT and data governance teams Manage and oversee enterprise structure data within SAP, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and integrity through control checks Drive data quality monitoring, reporting, and analytics strategy for enterprise structure elements Act as a trusted advisor to Finance data and process owners, ensuring alignment with governance standards and cross‑functional dependencies Lead stakeholder engagement, training, and capability building to embed governance practices across the organization Develop and maintain training materials and deliver training sessions to business users Manage tools supporting data governance and coordinate with internal and external IT service providers Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, process efficiency, and reporting capabilities Support and contribute to the development of the Lonza Data Framework What we’re looking for Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Management, Finance, Engineering, IT, Mathematics, or a related discipline Proven experience in finance master data or enterprise structure data management within a global organization Strong understanding of enterprise structure data concepts and ERP systems, particularly SAP FI/CO Experience with data governance frameworks, tools, and best practices Solid understanding of business processes and cross‑functional integration Skills & Capabilities: Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with attention to detail Ability to understand and communicate complex dependencies across systems and processes Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills Structured, governance‑focused mindset with strong ownership and accountability Ability to operate effectively in a global, matrixed environment What we offer An agile career and dynamic working culture An inclusive and ethical workplace Compensation programs that recognize high performance A variety of benefits dependent on role and location The full list of our global benefits can be found here: https://www.lonza.com/careers/benefits.
