Summary: Lockheed Martin Space is seeking a full-time Software Engineer Associate in Huntsville, AL. In this role, you will work with experienced engineers to support the software engineering lifecycle and contribute to the development of the THAAD Software. Responsibilities: - Support the software engineering lifecycle following the program Software Development Plan (SDP) to include requirements analysis, object oriented analysis & design, code & unit test, integration, and support to formal test/delivery - Support development of the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) Software within the Ground component as a member of the THAAD Fire Control and Communications (TFCC) Engagement Operations Team - Coordinate with other groups within Ground Systems to ensure a successful implementation of the software - Ensure adherence to master plans and schedules - Function well in a creative, high tempo, collaborative, cross-functional, dynamic and multi-disciplinary environment - Be self-motivated, inquisitive, conscientious, and detail oriented Required Qualifications: - Experience writing software in C/C++, Python, Ada, or Rust - Good understanding of software development practices and software process - Good interpersonal skills and good communication skills, both written and oral - Experience working on teams using Agile practices - Must be a US Citizen - This position will require a government security clearance Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with Linux, Git, Jira, and DevOps - Knowledge of and experience with the THAAD Fire Control software - Experience working with Missile programs - Security+ Certification Required Skills: C, C++, Python, Ada, Rust, Software Development Practices, Software Process, Agile Practices, Linux, Git, Jira, DevOps, THAAD Fire Control Software, Missile Programs, Security+ Certification Benefits: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, Holidays, Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons (Washington state applicants only), Vacation accrual for represented full time employees (Washington state applicants only), Sick leave accrual (Washington state applicants only), This position is incentive plan eligible
