Job Description
Summary: LMI is seeking a high-performing Finance & Legal Intern to support their Finance and Legal division. This role is designed for a motivated undergraduate student looking to gain hands-on experience in financial analysis, legal operations, and enterprise decision support within a mission-driven consulting environment.
Responsibilities:
- Support financial analysis, reporting, and data validation across programs and internal initiatives
- Assist with contract lifecycle management, including documentation review and organization
- Partner with Finance and Legal team members to streamline workflows and improve operational efficiency
- Conduct research on financial regulations, compliance requirements, and industry trends impacting government contracting
- Help prepare internal reports, dashboards, and briefings for leadership stakeholders
- Contribute to process improvement efforts, including identifying opportunities to leverage automation or AI-enabled tools
- Collaborate across teams to ensure alignment between financial planning, legal compliance, and business execution
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field (Expected graduation 2028–2029)
- Strong academic performance with a demonstrated ability to balance multiple priorities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and in a team-oriented environment
- Applicants must meet eligibility requirements for a U.S. Government security clearance. Only US Citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Interest in financial operations, legal/compliance functions, or government contracting
- Exposure to data analysis, Excel, or financial modeling concepts
- Demonstrated leadership experience through athletics, student organizations, or community involvement
- Strong time management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Curiosity around how technology, data, and AI are transforming finance and legal operations
