About the role

Lead a high-quality, play-based program for pre-primary learners. Plan, deliver and evaluate learning aligned to EYLF and the National Quality Framework, foster children’s social, emotional, language and early numeracy/literacy development, and build strong partnerships with families and the community.

Key duties

• Plan, implement and assess engaging, inclusive curriculum aligned to EYLF, NQF and service philosophy.
• Observe, document and report on each child’s learning and wellbeing; develop individual learning plans.
• Create safe, nurturing, well-organised learning environments and uphold child-safe practices.
• Collaborate with educators, mentor assistants, and contribute to continuous improvement and quality documentation.
• Communicate professionally with families and external stakeholders; participate in team meetings and compliance processes.

Skills

• Strong knowledge of early childhood pedagogy, intentional teaching and reflective practice.
• Skilled in observation, assessment, documentation and programming.
• Excellent communication, collaboration and behaviour-guidance capabilities.
• Ability to differentiate for diverse learners and support inclusion.
• Solid understanding of WHS and regulatory compliance within the NQF.

Qualifications and experience

• Bachelor of Early Childhood Education.
• QCT registration (or eligibility) and current Blue Card.
• Current First Aid/CPR, including asthma and anaphylaxis management (or willingness to obtain).
• At least 1 year of experience as an Early Childhood Teacher.
