Safety Structural Co-op / Intern - 2027 at LJB Inc. in Charlotte, NC

The company seeks a 2027 Structural Engineering Co-op/Intern to assist with structural design, analysis, documentation, technical calculations, reports, and CAD/BIM work while gaining office and field experience.

Responsibilities:
- Assist with engineering tasks related to structural design, analysis, and documentation
- Perform routine assignments under close supervision, following established standards, procedures, and drawings
- Gain exposure to both office-based and field-based work, including design planning, site visits, and construction processes
- Support project teams with technical calculations, reports, and documentation
- Contribute to CAD and/or BIM drawings and sketches under the guidance of senior engineers

Required Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering program at an accredited university
- Must be entering junior or senior year of undergraduate studies at the time of the co-op
- Must be able to travel to various project sites
- U.S. citizenship
- Ability to sit for extended periods while working at a computer
- Capable of lifting up to 15 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to access and navigate job sites and construction areas

Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior academic or internship experience with structural design projects preferred
