Role Overview:
The Warehouse Manager is responsible for managing warehouse operations, inventory control, material receipt, storage, issuance, records, and coordination with related teams. The role supports material availability, maintains accurate warehouse history, and helps keep the warehouse safe, organized, and controlled.
What will you do?
- Manage daily warehouse operations, including receipt, storage, handling, and issuance of materials.
- Keep storage areas clean, safe, organized, and properly labelled.
- Coordinate material deliveries and issuance with procurement, logistics, and site teams.
- Monitor warehouse space and support efficient storage planning.
- Maintain accurate records for received, issued, returned, damaged, rejected, and transferred materials.
- Keep warehouse history, including stock cards, receipt notes, issuance records, transfer notes, and reconciliation reports.
- Conduct stock counts and cycle counts as required.
- Report shortages, discrepancies, damaged materials, and missing documents to the concerned teams.
- Prepare regular inventory and warehouse performance reports.
- Update approved inventory systems and maintain supporting records.
- Follow company safety, handling, storage, and quality requirements.
- Support audits and close warehouse-related findings within agreed dates.
- Control warehouse tools, small equipment, returnable materials, and consumables.
- Track issuance, return, damage, loss, and replacement.
- Supervise warehouse staff and assign daily tasks.
- Train warehouse staff on inventory, safety, and warehouse procedures.
Experience and Education Required:
- Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 8-10 years of warehouse and logistics experience.
- At least 3-5 years in a managerial role within large infrastructure, railway, metro, construction, or EPC projects.
- Experience handling construction materials, railway systems equipment, mechanical and electrical materials is highly preferred.
- Warehouse operations, inventory control, material records, logistics coordination, ERP or SAP inventory systems, safety compliance, team supervision, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Office.
- Large construction, infrastructure, railway, metro, EPC, logistics, or industrial projects.
