Job Description
Summary: Vicar Operating, Inc. dba VCA is seeking an experienced and personable Client Service Representative to join their team. This role is essential as it sets the tone for customer interactions, ensuring trust and confidence in the veterinary services provided. Responsibilities include greeting clients, scheduling appointments, managing medical records, and maintaining a clean facility.
Responsibilities:
- Customer service functions, including: greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Scheduling and confirming appointments
- Placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Presenting and explaining fees, including processing payments
- Recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Answering questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care (i.e., heartworm prevention, housebreaking, and flea & tick control)
- Managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Hospital maintenance (including removal of animal waste) and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times—both inside and outside
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in customer service functions, including greeting visitors, answering telephones, and guiding clients and their pets to exam rooms
- Ability to schedule and confirm appointments
- Experience in placing outbound calls for follow-ups and reaching out to prospective clients
- Ability to present and explain fees, including processing payments
- Experience in recommending, selecting, and obtaining products and services, including prescriptions
- Ability to answer questions regarding products and services, including educating clients on general animal husbandry and non-medical pet care
- Experience in managing medical records, charts, reports and correspondence
- Ability to perform hospital maintenance, including removal of animal waste and ensuring that facility is neat and clean at all times
