Job Description
Summary: Lincoln Financial helps people plan for financial security through products and services including annuities, life insurance, group protection, and retirement plan services. The Junior Associate Program places early-career professionals on the Portfolio Management team to develop skills in investment analysis, portfolio reporting, financial modeling, market research, and data-driven investment initiatives. Analysts also prepare investment materials, support recommendations, and complete training in capital markets and financial analysis.
Responsibilities:
- Building and maintaining financial models
- Conducting market and sector research
- Preparing investment memos and presentations
- Participating in data-driven investment initiatives
- Develops an understanding of best practices and suggests how to improve current practices
- Supports team members and/or management in the preparation of investment memos and presentations
- Participates in data-driven investment initiatives
- Supports team members and/or management in developing basic recommendations to solve problems and issues related to identified trends and data insights
- Completes training to expand knowledge of capital markets, investment strategy, and financial analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Demonstrated interest in capital markets, investment strategy, and financial analysis
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, with the ability to manipulate data, create visualizations, and communicate findings
- Familiarity with or willingness to learn programming languages such as Python and SQL
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information and present it effectively
Preferred Qualifications:
- Intent to pursue the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation
- Exposure to investment coursework, internships, or relevant extracurricular activities
