Job Description
Summary: Lila Sciences is the world’s first scientific superintelligence platform and autonomous lab for life, chemistry, and materials science. As a Nucleic Acid Research Intern, you will contribute to day-to-day experimentation in the nucleic acids research lab, assisting with tasks such as bacterial transformation and sample preparation for DNA sequencing.
Responsibilities:
- Manage inventory for cloning workflows to ensure smooth operation
- Help with laboratory workflows, including bacterial transformation, colony picking, sequencing sample preparation
- Preparation of media and growth of bacterial cultures for large scale protein expression and purification
- Organize and track chemical, reagent and DNA libraries using our inventory system
Required Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in the life sciences
- Comfort working in wet-lab environments and following detailed SOPs
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in a fast-paced, multidisciplinary team
