Job Description
Join LIFE, Inc. - Goldsboro as a Home Health Aide, providing compassionate and dedicated support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD). This part-time position offers 28 hours per week, working four days from 10 AM to 5 PM, supporting female clients in their daily living activities. You will play a vital role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being through personalized care and active engagement.
Responsibilities
- Provide assistance and supervision to clients during dressing, bathing, toileting, and all other aspects of personal hygiene and self-care.
- Support clients during meals, ensuring nutritional needs are met with care and attention.
- Help with household management, including clothing care, cleaning, and yard maintenance, to create a safe and comfortable living environment.
- Assist clients in meal preparation and the intake of nutritional supplements.
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely, following all protocols without error.
- Implement prescribed diet plans and support the use of adaptive equipment as needed.
- Follow established behavior support programs, accurately collect data, and adhere to all safety procedures.
- Engage clients in active treatment, including facilitating training objectives, recording progress, and working toward service goals.
- Accompany clients on community outings to foster social engagement and skill development.
- Support client participation in educational and day program activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned to ensure comprehensive client care.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Valid North Carolina Driver’s License.
- Minimum age of 21 years.
