Job Description
Summary: Liatrio is a boutique DevOps consulting firm that helps enterprises deliver software faster and more efficiently. As an Apprentice DevOps Engineer, you will learn to improve software delivery in enterprise organizations, focusing on tools, processes, and culture to prepare for a full-time position upon graduation.
Responsibilities:
- Build systems such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Jenkins
- Application development and testing with Go, Java, Javascript, .NET or Python
- Using modern source control management systems and branching strategies
- Developing, managing and testing Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Cloud native platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP
- Cloud native technologies such as Kubernetes and Istio
- Observability through tools such as Prometheus, Elasticsearch, Grafana, or Zipkin
Required Qualifications:
- Students who are excited about improving the way software is built and delivered
- Interest in making software infrastructure more robust and resilient
- Willingness to learn how new technologies will shape the future of software delivery
- Technologically-inclined with a hobby or academic interest related to source control management, build tools, automation, cloud computing, or containerization
- Frequent and responsive communicator including online and in person
- Open and willing to learn about new technologies
- Experience in learning new technologies to aid in school assignments or hobbies
- Ability to find the best tool for the job instead of using something already known
- Enjoyment in working with others and uplifting team members during group assignments
