Job Description
As a Reception and Cash Desk Specialist, you will be the first point of contact for our clients, both in person and by telephone. You will contribute to a professional, personal and service-oriented client experience. Together with the team, you will ensure the smooth operation of the reception and cash desk and work closely with the Private Banking Service teams and other internal stakeholders. Your key responsibilities will include:
- Client reception: Professionally welcoming, assisting and accompanying clients and guests, while ensuring a first-class, personal and service-oriented experience.
- Cash desk: Ensuring the accurate and efficient day-to-day operation of the cash desk, including cash deposits and withdrawals, precious metals transactions and other cash-related transactions. This includes identity verification and documentation, cash reconciliations and controls, as well as overseeing the safe deposit box area, in compliance with all relevant legal, regulatory and internal bank requirements.
- Reception operations: Managing the daily reception operations, including handling incoming calls and messages, discreetly directing enquiries and ensuring their timely and reliable follow-up.
- Meeting coordination: Organising and preparing meeting and conference rooms, looking after clients during their visit, and coordinating incoming and outgoing mail.
- Administration: Carrying out administrative tasks and working closely with the Private Banking Service teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure professional client service and the smooth running of day-to-day operations.
Requirements
- Completed commercial apprenticeship or equivalent qualification, preferably within the banking sector
- Several years of professional experience in a reception, cash desk or comparable client-facing role within a banking or financial services environment
- Strong client and service orientation, combined with a professional, friendly and discreet manner
- Reliable, accurate and independent working style, with a high sense of responsibility and strong organisational skills
- Fluent written and spoken German and good written and spoken English; French, Italian or other language skills are an advantage
- Good knowledge of standard banking applications and Microsoft Office, as well as confidence in using digital tools
- Flexibility in working hours and willingness to work according to operational requirements within the working-hours window of 9.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
