Job Description
Summary: LG Electronics is a global leader in technology dedicated to creating innovative solutions for a better life. The EHS Intern will support the development of AI-driven tools and prototypes to improve internal productivity and assist in the development of generative AI applications.
Responsibilities:
- To support the DXP AI Team in developing, testing and deploying AI-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and enable data-driven decision making across the enterprise
- Work closely with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to assist in the development of machine learning and generative AI applications
- Assist in the development and testing of AI models, including large language model (LLM) based applications
- Support data preparation, cleaning and feature engineering for machine learning workflows
- Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and identifying potential use cases relevant to business needs
Required Qualifications:
- Enrollment in a Bachelor's degree program at an accredited College/University
- Understanding of APIs and basic software development practices
- Basic skills in quantitative data analysis and be proficient in using Excel for creating charts and infographics
- Proficiency in tools such as Microsoft Office, Google, Teams, and AI-based drawing tools is required for visualizing ideas
- Demonstrates a strong interest in diverse generations and cultures, particularly related to food lifestyles in both the U.S. and Korea
- Curiosity and enthusiasm for customer observation, the ability to extract meaningful insights, and strong communication skills are essential qualities
- Mindset grounded in design thinking and the ability to approach and solve problems creatively
- Strong communication skills, outgoing personality
Preferred Qualifications:
- Rising Sophomore, Rising Junior in a business, data, or analytics related major is preferred
- Programming experience with Python preferred
- Prior exposure to LLMs or generative AI technologies preferred
- Familiarity with GiT or version control systems
