Job Description
Summary: LexisNexis is a global provider of information-based analytics and decision tools for professional and business customers. The Legal Practice Area Consultant will create preference and active users in law schools and law firms by assessing customer needs, developing business plans, and promoting LexisNexis products and services.
Responsibilities:
- Acting as a Consultative Sales Person, by supporting law school and law firm customers in order increase active users
- Working at all levels of a law school and law firm, including students, faculty, associates, partners, librarians and leadership (i.e. law school Dean-level and law-firm managing partners)
- Developing strategic account plans (which will differ school-by-school and firm-by-firm), recognize sales
- Managing law school account independently and partner with law firm client managers
- Demonstrating deep product, content or practice area knowledge; acts as internal resource for sales, marketing and segment
- Preparing and deliver specialized customer presentations that communicate our value proposition and differentiators to create new active users
- Conducting research, analysis of findings and shares information with product, segment and marketing
- Developing and executing marketing strategies to meet the needs of students, faculty, and staff at law schools and partners
Required Qualifications:
- Have Juris Doctorate; Bar License (preferred)
- 1-2 years practice experience
- Display excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experience developing and executing on account plans and coordinating key stakeholders and resources to positively impact clients
- Demonstrate outstanding networking capabilities and exhibit a professional demeanor, business maturity, and technical knowledge
- Be able to work solo and own and manage a territory
