Summary: LeoLabs is building the living map of activity in space through its global radar network and AI-enabled analytics platform. The Data Analytics Intern will work with real-world space and satellite data, build analytical tools, and contribute to insights in the space domain while collaborating with experienced engineers and analysts. Responsibilities: - Build a tool to ingest and analyze open-source space object data, including identifying relationships across datasets - Support troubleshooting and improvement of existing analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, Databricks) - Help maintain and enrich a curated catalog of space objects with key attributes (e.g., size, origin, propulsion, onboard systems) - Use analytics tools to identify trends, generate insights, and support space domain awareness efforts - Document findings and contribute to team knowledge sharing Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, or similar) - Experience or coursework in data analysis, data handling, or software development - Familiarity with one or more of the following: Python, JavaScript, SQL - Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and curiosity to learn Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to APIs, data ingestion, or working with large datasets is a plus - Interest in artificial intelligence or machine learning concepts Required Skills: Data analysis, Python, SQL Important Skills: JavaScript, APIs Nice-to-Have Skills: Curiosity to learn
