Lab Technician Intern - Summer 2026 at Lennox in West Columbia, SC

The Lab Technician Intern will assist mechanical engineers in testing and developing mechanical components while gaining exposure to real business operations. Responsibilities: - Sets up and tests complete prototype units and subassemblies under operational conditions - Devises, fabricates, and assembles new or modified mechanical components or assemblies - Record test procedures and results using numerical and graphical data - Helps prepare proposals, cost estimates and work load - Assist in establishing completion dates - Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas to improve processes and efficiency - Take ownership of individual tasks and meet project deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail - Demonstrate professionalism, adaptability, and a willingness to learn new tools and systems Required Qualifications: - High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience - Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering Technology, HVAC or a related field - Strong verbal and written communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a professional setting - Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills - Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a culture of teamwork and continuous improvement Required Skills: Mechanical component testing, Prototype assembly, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint, Microsoft Word Internship Start Date: Start in 2026 Summer Benefits: Competitive Pay: Receive a competitive compensation package., Successful interns will have the potential opportunity of joining Lennox Full-Time upon graduation.
