Summary: Lennox is a leading provider of climate-control solutions with a legacy of 130 years. They are seeking an Accounting Intern to assist with month-end close activities, financial reporting, and data analysis while providing exposure to real-world business experiences and potential full-time opportunities upon graduation. Responsibilities: - Assist with month-end close activities, including account reconciliations and journal entries - Support financial reporting and analysis, including variance analysis and reporting preparation - Help maintain and analyze inventory and cost accounting data - Assist in tracking purchase price variances and cost trends - Support internal audits and process improvement initiatives - Participate in data analysis and reporting using Excel and financial systems - Assist with documentation and organization of financial records - Collaborate with cross-functional teams including operations and supply chain - Support additional accounting and finance projects as assigned Required Qualifications: - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - High attention to detail and organizational skills - Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office - Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Preferred Qualifications: - Pursuing a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field - Interest in cost accounting, financial analysis, or manufacturing operations - Exposure to Excel functions (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) - Familiarity with financial or ERP systems (a plus, not required) Required Skills: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, Account reconciliation, Journal entries, Financial reporting, Variance analysis, Inventory accounting, Cost accounting, Data analysis, Financial systems, Analytical skills Benefits: Competitive Pay and Relocation Support, Employees in this role are also eligible to earn overtime when they work more than 40 hours in a week (or as otherwise required by state law).
