Video Producer
Location: Reston, VA
Calling all professional video storytellers! Leidos seeks a full-time Creative Video Producer at its Reston VA location. This on-location position allows for partial remote work.
The Creative Video Producer is a hands-on, script-to-screen storyteller, responsible for producing high-quality branded video content that supports enterprise storytelling across marketing, communications, and brand experiences. Candidates should have experience in all aspects of video production, particularly videography, editing and motion graphics. 3D animation and VFX ability is a plus!
Working within the Creative Studio, the Video Producer partners with designers, writers, content leads, and stakeholders to deliver video content for digital platforms, social media, executive communications, advertising, and experiential environments. This role balances hands-on production with thoughtful use of AI-assisted video tools to improve efficiency while maintaining creative and editorial integrity.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Guide video projects from concept through final delivery, including:
Scriptwriting and story development
Videography, lighting, and audio recording
Editing and finishing
Produce video content for:
Marketing and promotional initiatives
Social media and digital platforms
Executive communications
Trade shows and events
Operate professional-grade video, audio, and lighting equipment
Create and integrate motion graphics and animated elements
Apply editorial judgment to refine creative outputs into polished, brand-aligned deliverables
Use AI-assisted video and content tools to:
Support ideation, scripting, and storyboarding
Assist with rough cuts, transcription, captioning, and versioning
Improve production efficiency while maintaining quality
Collaborate with designers, content partners, and stakeholders
Support coordination with vendors, freelancers, and external crews as needed
Manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
BASIC / REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and 4+ years of experience in video production. Additional years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree requirements.
US citizenship is required for this position

Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro (or similar professional editing software)
Skilled with motion graphics, preferably Adobe After Effects
Experienced in operating professional-grade cameras (e.g., Sony FS7/FX9, Blackmagic Ursa, Canon EOS C70 or similar)
Experienced in professional production lighting, particularly for studio/greenscreen scenarios
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience using AI-assisted video, audio, or content generation tools for editing, transcription, captioning, scripting, or visual enhancement
Familiarity with responsible and brand-safe use of AI tools in a corporate or regulated environment
Experience with 3D animation like Cinema 4D, Blender, or Unreal Engine
Experience with compositing/VFX
Exposure to trade show, event, or experiential video production
Good visual design sensibilities and storytelling instincts
Willingness to learn new tools and workflows

Pay Range:
Pay Range $65,650.00 - $118,675.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
