Summary: Leidos is a defense sector company that is currently offering a summer internship position in their Manufacturing Quality Organization in Huntsville, Alabama. The intern will work on implementing Statistical Process Control (SPC) in the manufacturing machining facility while gaining practical experience and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Responsibilities: - Ability to use the MS Office suite of software, perform analytical analysis, status Management weekly on progress, issues & recommendations - Write project ending report (task, findings, results, etc) - Work with a variety of organizations to understand processes & outputs in a teaming work environment Required Qualifications: - Must be currently enrolled at an accredited College/University pursuing an Industrial, Mechanical, or Manufacturing Engineering bachelor's in science degree - Must have a minimum overall 3.0 GPA or higher - Must be a US Citizen - Must be able to work onsite in Huntsville, AL Preferred Qualifications: - Ability to understand & use CAD software - Basic understanding of Statistical Process Controls (SPC) Required Skills: Statistical Process Control Important Skills: CAD software, MS Office Suite Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical analysis, Team collaboration
