Junior DevOps Engineer Location: 6314 Remote/Teleworker US The Junior DevOps Engineer supports the development, deployment, and maintenance of cloud-based and on-premise systems. Working as part of a collaborative team, this role focuses on implementing automation, maintaining CI/CD pipelines, and assisting with system reliability and performance. The ideal candidate is developing proficiency in DevOps practices and tools while contributing to day-to-day operational success. Responsibilities Support the implementation and maintenance of CI/CD pipelines for application deployments Assist in automating infrastructure provisioning using tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation Monitor system performance, security, and availability, responding to alerts and resolving issues Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot build and deployment issues Maintain configuration management and version control best practices Document processes, procedures, and system configurations Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Ensure adherence to security and compliance requirements in deployment processes Qualifications Bachelor’s degree with 2–4 years of relevant experience, or Master’s with <2 years. Additional years of experience may be substituted in lieu of degree. Basic experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) Experience with scripting languages such as Bash or Python Understanding of Linux/Unix systems administration fundamentals Familiarity with containerization technologies (Docker) Basic knowledge of networking concepts (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing) Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to learn Must have US Citizenship Must be able to obtain and maintain a customer specific public trust clearance Preferred Qualifications Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) Familiarity with Kubernetes or container orchestration platforms Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, CloudWatch) Knowledge of Agile or DevOps methodologies If you're looking for comfort, keep scrolling.
