Summary: Leidos is a leading company in the field of naval simulation and training systems. As a Jr. Software Developer, you will develop real-time software on Linux using C++ and Java, contributing to innovative projects that shape naval operations.
Responsibilities:
- Develop real-time software on Linux using C++ and Java
- Dive deep into all phases of the development process
- Use the best available tools and modern architectures
Required Qualifications:
- B.S./B.A. in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- U.S. Citizenship and eligibility for a U.S. Government granted security clearance
- Interim Secret security clearance required for employment
- 0+ years of C++ or Java software development
- Strong Linux tools/library knowledge
- Solid grasp of software engineering principles
Preferred Qualifications:
- Advanced degree, continuing education in computer science, or advanced math/physics background
- Experience in cluster computing
- Experience in signal processing
- Experience in Kubernetes
- Experience in numerical simulation
- Experience in multi-threading
- Experience in GPUs
- Experience in data visualization
- Experience in underwater acoustic modeling
- Experience in sonar systems
- Familiarity with Agile development
- Familiarity with Atlassian products
- Familiarity with DevSecOps methods/tools (Gitlab, Conan, Jenkins, Docker)
