Summary: Leidos is a leader in technology integration, and they are seeking an External Technology Partnerships Engineering Intern to support the evaluation and integration of emerging external technologies. This internship offers the opportunity to work on real technical initiatives involving commercial software and AI solutions. Responsibilities: - Support hands-on evaluation of external partner technologies, primarily software and AI-based solutions - Assist in developing prototypes and proof-of-concept integrations - Contribute code, testing, and documentation under the guidance of the External Technology Partnerships Engineer - Analyze technical performance, integration considerations, and system behavior - Participate in technical discussions and design reviews - Document findings, code changes, and lessons learned to support transition and knowledge sharing Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, AI/ML, or a related technical discipline - US Citizenship is required - Coursework or practical experience in programming (Python preferred) - Familiarity with basic software development practices and version control (e.g., Git) - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate technical findings clearly Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to AI/ML frameworks or AI-enabled applications - Experience working with APIs, cloud environments, or system integration concepts - Demonstrated initiative in learning new technologies independently Required Skills: Python, Software development practices, Version control, Git, AI/ML frameworks, API, Cloud environments, System integration, Analytical skills
