Cybersecurity Platform Intern at Leidos in Remote

They are seeking a Cybersecurity Platform Intern to support enterprise security initiatives and gain hands-on experience in a large-scale cybersecurity environment. Responsibilities: - Complete a work package assignment that helps improve the underlying cyber security for the Leidos enterprise - Analyze security data from enterprise tools (e.g., log platforms, identity systems, cloud services) - Assist in building dashboards and reports to improve security visibility - Document system configurations, access controls, and security processes - Identify potential risks, gaps, or improvement opportunities - Support cross-functional teams in troubleshooting and analysis efforts - Present findings in clear, concise written summaries Required Qualifications: - Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field - US citizenship required - Basic understanding of networking and/or cybersecurity concepts - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly - Ability to work independently in a remote or hybrid environment Preferred Qualifications: - Exposure to cybersecurity tools or concepts (e.g., logging platforms, identity systems, cloud security) - Familiarity with networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, firewalls, VPNs) - Experience with data analysis or visualization tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.) - Interest in cybersecurity operations, threat detection, or Zero Trust architecture - Coding experience with Python or other scripting languages Required Skills: Cybersecurity concepts, Networking fundamentals, Security analytics, Data analysis, Security operations, Identity systems, Cloud security, Python, Security reporting, Access controls, Analytical skills, Independent work
