Cyber Software Design and Engineering Intern at Leidos in Remote

They are seeking a Cyber Software Design and Engineering Intern to participate in an advanced Cyber Engineering team, where the intern will work on projects related to Incident Response, Digital Forensics, and Cyber Threat Intelligence, among others. Responsibilities: - Lead a start-to-finish project ending with a presentation as part of the internship - Work under supervision and direction of senior members of the CSIRT Team - Participate in the engineering and development of the cyber applications created through cyber engineering - Assisting with the design and implementation of the developed tools that meet the customer requirements - Identifying, designing, and developing automation projects for cyber engineering operations - Identifying an automation pathway of using intel threat feeds to automate detections and improve decision automation of our customers - Interface with cross-functional teams to participate in security projects and initiatives Required Qualifications: - Actively pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related degree, and have completed at least three years of an undergraduate curriculum and maintained a minimum 3.0 - Basic understanding of computer networks, systems, and how they interact - Organized and self-directed - Willingness to work as part of a team - Ability to quickly acquire new knowledge and skills through on-the-job training and self-directed learning, including researching - Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects at the same time - This is a Teleworking (Remote) Position, with possibility to meet onsite depending on candidate's location - US citizenship required Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with python, golang, and databases - Knowledge of containerization - Knowledge of CI/CD pipeline creation - Knowledge of DevOP and Infrastructure as Code operations - Any Professional Certifications - Experience with one or more of the major cloud computing environments - Experience with application security frameworks Required Skills: Python, Containerization Important Skills: Golang, CI/CD Pipeline, DevOps, Cloud Computing Nice-to-Have Skills: Self-directed, Multi-tasking, Research Skills, Teamwork
