Summary: Leidos is a leading company in technology and engineering solutions, and they are seeking a Business Systems & AI Solutions Intern to support automation and process improvement for the US Navy SMIT MC&O Team. The intern will work with leadership and cross-functional teams to enhance internal tools, streamline workflows, and leverage AI for automation. Responsibilities: - Enhance and integrate reporting tools, automation and AI - Maintain and enhance internally developed tools - Develop or support tools that analyze data to identify similar or analogous tasks - Conduct targeted research on technical services to support automation Required Qualifications: - Enrolled in a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, Information Systems, or a related field - Strong Excel skills, including advanced formulas and macros - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Ability to multi-task, self-assign work, and operate in a fast-paced environment - Strong written and verbal communication skills - Candidates must be US citizen able to obtain and/or maintain a Department of Defense Secret security clearance as a condition of employment Preferred Qualifications: - Experience with JavaScript, Visual Basic/VBA, and/or Python - Experience applying AI or generative AI tools to business or analytical problems - Familiarity with Salesforce, Power BI, SharePoint, or similar platforms - Experience working with automation tools, data repositories, or legacy systems - Ability to remain upbeat, positive, and constructive under high-pressure deadlines Required Skills: Excel, Python Important Skills: JavaScript, AI tools, Power BI Nice-to-Have Skills: Analytical skills, Multi-tasking
