Job Description
Do you want to work in a start-up innovative environment close to the hardware with advanced firmware for future radar systems?
Radar Reticence is looking for a firmware engineer who wants to help bring our interference-robust radar technology closer to chip integration, testing and commercial deployment. In this role, you will work at the intersection of signal processing, hardware and embedded software, translating algorithms and system requirements into efficient, robust and reliable code.
What you will work with
Hardware-near C programming for embedded systems.
Implementation of signal processing algorithms in firmware.
Development on SoC- and DSP-based platforms.
Performance optimization of time-critical code.
Debugging at the hardware/software interface.
Testing, code reviews, technical documentation and structured development workflows.
Evaluation of development boards, chip platforms and integration paths.
Close collaboration with algorithm, radar and system engineers.
We believe you have
Very strong skills in C for embedded systems.
Experience with hardware-near software development.
Understanding of how software, drivers, peripherals and hardware interact.
Basic understanding of digital signal processing and algorithm implementation.
Experience with Git, testing, code reviews and structured software development.
Ability to debug complex issues using debuggers and lab instruments.
Good technical judgement and communication skills in cross-functional teams.
It is a plus if you have experience with
DSP hardware and physical development boards.
SoC architectures with multiple processor cores.
Intrinsics, inline assembler or other low-level optimization techniques.
Fixed-point and floating-point implementations.
TI Code Composer Studio.
Radar, sensors or automotive embedded systems.
Functional safety, for example ISO 26262.
Required
Fluent in English, both spoken and written.
Able to make yourself understood in Swedish, both spoken and written.
Able to work from one of our offices in Linköping or Halmstad at least a few days per week.
