Summary: LayerZero Labs is focused on creating a community of cross-chain developers to build dApps that transcend individual blockchain capabilities. The intern will support the Crypto BD team in client management, deal origination, and market research, while also participating in GTM initiatives and representing the company's mission in the crypto ecosystem. Responsibilities: - Analyze the market to identify unique opportunities, competitors, and new trends within the broader crypto ecosystem - Drive growth through prospecting and qualification within the crypto BD vertical through various channels (X.com, LinkedIn, conferences), generating net new opportunities and meetings for the Crypto BD team - Work cross-functionally across teams on Ecosystem and GTM to drive meaningful integrations and initiatives, draft impactful customer proposals aligned to our business standards - Help enable teams to build out their core protocol functionalities using the LayerZero stack. Be an evangelist around LayerZero’s core ethos, the opportunities available through using the protocol, and the support and guidance given by the LayerZero team Required Qualifications: - Extremely knowledgeable on all things DeFi - current trends, interesting projects, mechanics of interoperability, direction of the industry over the next year - Demonstrated interest in crypto publicly - written blogs, posted on X, participated in groups, shared learnings with others - Natural problem solver who is highly organized and can juggle multiple tasks at once - Proactive, takes initiative, and thrives in fast-paced, ever-changing environments - Solid understanding of business development operations, including deal tracking, pipeline management and forecasting - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enjoys working across different teams - Comfortable with a high level of responsibility and excited about the opportunity to support the crypto team closely and actively Preferred Qualifications: - Ideally, has worked in a startup environment before Required Skills: Business Development, Market Research, DeFi Knowledge
